Insights from Sirus’ Happy at work survey from 2023

At Sirus, we are committed to the well-being of our employees. To gather an objective insight into our employees’ happiness at the workplace, we participated in the survey of Happy at Work – an initiative from Choose My Company. This survey allows employees to express themselves anonymously about their experiences in the company.

In this blog post we’ll pinpoint some noteworthy results, comparisons to last year and some points of improvement.

Purpose Happy at Work survey

The Happy at Work survey measures the quality of the employees’ everyday working experience and points out the key motivational factors. Participating in this survey helps us to continually improve our internal and external business processes.

The survey included questions about a variety of topics, like recognition, management, professional development and work environment.

Below are some of our most significant results.

Sirus’ overall score

Our overall score, across all areas, is 4.47/5. A very encouraging result that highlights our dedication to creating a positive work environment for our employees. Compared to last year, our score went up by 1%.

Here’s what we excel at

As you can see in the chart above, we excel in the categories ‘My efforts are recognized and encouraged (96%)‘ and ‘Trust in management (92%)‘. Compared to last year we made a big jump of 13% in the first category.
We are relieved to see that our employees have trust in our management team and have a feeling that their efforts are recognized. Trust and appreciation is key to having an open and positive company culture.

There is always room for improvement

No organization is perfect and there will always be room for improvement. That’s why it is important to keep evaluating every year. Thanks to the results of the survey, we now know which company aspects can be optimized even further. One point which we’ll definitely keep in mind is to give our employees a bit more insight into how certain decisions were reached. We’ll definitely keep that in mind when organizing our monthly Sirus Time!
