Staying up to date, virtually and in reality! Today our colleagues Jan Vandepitte and Christian Ziedins gave an internal training for the entire Sirus team about Apache Kafka.

Sirus goes KAFKA

In an extensive technical training course, theory and practice are coming together: We start off with an overal view into the architecture of the different Apache Kafka components, with a deep dive into some of our current projects.

In a second phase, theory is put into practice, where the whole team sets up a local cluster, consults it with the Kafka tool, and then consumes and produces different topics.

Training @ Sirus

Training courses, such as this internal kafka training, help Sirus to keep the entire team up to date with the latest new technologies active at customers. But they also help in bringing the team together; virtually. Today we work with these components at several of our customers, including the IoT platform within ACPaaS of Digipolis Antwerp! The expertise we build with this is what differentiates us at customers, and lies at the core of our values.
