Regardless of the title – Happiness Officer, Coach, or Sparring Partner – I’m always available for Sirusers to come and talk to me about their well-being.

From the 5th till the 7th of February, Software Architect Steven Decoodt polished his English skills whilst strolling through London. He was there to attend a course on Advanced Software Architecture with Residuality Theory.

Tijdens de Lunch & Learn op dinsdag 5 maart delen wij – in samenwerking met Wortell en Stad Lokeren – onze inzichten over Digitaal Archief Vlaanderen (DAV), met als use case het digitaal documentbeheer bij Stad Lokeren.

Van 5 tot 7 november 2023 vond in Barcelona de Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) plaats. Ook wij waren weer van de partij en samen met CrowdScan brachten we een demo die de werking en mogelijkheden van Digital Twins in de schijnwerpers zette.

During our internship at Sirus, we worked wholeheartedly on the Lego City project. Both the hardware and software aspects of the Lego City were tackled, equipping it with streetlights, traffic lights, air quality sensors, sound sensors, temperature sensors, waste bin sensors, parking sensors, as well as waste collection and traffic prediction programs.

June was a month full of interesting events. Towards the end of June, we were present at the ‘Gebruikersdag Smart Data‘ organized by Digitaal Vlaanderen.

Last month, I – Greet – had the opportunity to represent Sirus at the FIWARE Global Summit along with some of my colleagues.

A few days ago, I had the privilege of attending Techorama 2023. This two-day event took place at Kinepolis Antwerp, and to my delight, several of my colleagues were also present.

Techorama 2023 was an extraordinary conference that provided the perfect blend of delicious catering, opportunities to connect with colleagues, and engaging sessions on a wide range of topics.

In spring, IT professionals gather at Kinepolis Antwerp for two days filled with interesting talks, networking with fellow IT experts, and delightful catering.
