Valentin’s first month @ Sirus

Onboarding during the quarantine, how would it feel like?! That’s the questions I’ve been asking myself for a few days before joining Sirus

But my doubts were quickly dispelled thanks to Patricia, who was waiting for me at the office, completely corona proof, to give me all the necessary informations and finally allow me to take my first steps at Sirus.

But I didn’t have time to waste as I already had my first online meeting to discover what would be my first challenge here. I was warmly welcomed by Maarten and Jochen, who took their time to explain to me what my role and expectations would be at Schoeller Allibert, my first project then.

I have the chance to work with Maarten, who has a lot of experience, doesn’t hesitate to share his knowledge, challenge me and guide me through the project. It’s a real pleasure to have such a colleague when you start a project from home.

A few days ago I also started another project, this time for Hospital Logistics. A new project once again means new contacts. And no surprises, everything was fluid and well prepared. It seems to be Sirus’ trademark.

Thanks to these two projects, I was able to take my first steps into the IoT world, which attracted me so much.

What I’ll retain from my first month at Sirus are obviously new encounters, new challenges, responsibilities and confidence but above all the impression of already being part of a family, despite the current health circumstances.

Valentin
